Lash tinting is a semi-permanent color treatment for your natural lashes. A professional-grade tint — formulated specifically for use around the eyes — is applied to your lashes and developed for several minutes, darkening every lash from root to tip, including the fine, fair tips that mascara never quite reaches.

The effect is subtle but transformative: lashes that look longer and denser simply because, for the first time, you can see all of them.

Who Is Lash Tinting Best For?

A lash tint is an excellent choice if you:

• Have blonde, red, or light-brown lashes that vanish without makeup
• Want to go completely mascara-free — at the beach, the gym, or every day
• Have dark lashes with fair tips, and want the extra visible length that tinting the tips reveals
• Want the standalone version of the tint that comes complimentary with every keratin lash lift

One honest note before you book: tinting shows best on lashes that have some substance to them. Lashes with a thicker hair follicle — coarse, sturdy lashes — take the tint beautifully and show every bit of that added depth. If your lashes are very fine and soft (“peach fuzz” lashes), there’s simply less hair for the color to live on, and the result will be much more subtle. We’d rather tell you that here than after your appointment — and if fine lashes are your situation, a keratin lash lift (which includes the tint) usually delivers the visible change you’re actually looking for, because the curl brings even fine lashes up into view.

The Envious Lashes Tinting Process

Your stylist selects a tint shade matched to your coloring — usually a rich blue-black or soft black-brown — and applies it with your eyes gently closed and the skin protected. The tint develops in minutes; the whole appointment takes about 20 to 30 minutes on its own, or folds neatly into a lash lift appointment.

We use professional formulas developed for the eye area, applied by stylists trained under Master Stylist Clementina Richardson. Drugstore lash dyes and at-home kits are where tinting horror stories come from — around the eyes, this is a treatment worth leaving to professionals.

How Long Does a Lash Tint Last?

About 3 to 4 weeks — the color itself doesn’t wash out, but your lashes naturally shed and renew on their own cycle, gradually replacing tinted lashes with new ones. Most clients re-tint monthly, often timed with their lift appointments.

Can I swim and shower normally afterward?

Yes — after the first 24 hours, the tint is fully set. Swim, steam, work out, wash your face; the color stays until the lashes themselves naturally renew.

Lash tint or mascara — is it really a replacement?

For color and definition, yes. A tint won’t add the volume a mascara wand builds — for that, pair it with a lash lift, or consider extensions. What it removes is the daily cycle of applying and removing makeup around your eyes.
